Directions from Seattle area (3 to 3 1/2 hours)
  1. Take I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass to Ellensburg.

  2. At Ellensburg, turn south on I-82 toward Yakima.

  3. At the north end of Yakima take Hwy 12 West towards Naches and White Pass

  4. 5 miles past downtown Naches turn left to remain on Hwy 12

  5. 5 miles past Rimrock Retreat, look for a sign for Ghormley/Rimrock Lake (Mile Marker 168).

  6. Take a left at Tieton Rd.

  7. Cross the Tieton River and turn left on the first paved road (Lost Lake Rd).

  8. Drive up Lost Lake Road 3/4 mile and turn right at the Ghormley entrance sign



Direction from Tacoma area (2 to 2 1/2 hours, summer only!)
  1. Take Hwy 164 E. toward Enumclaw.

  2. Turn left onto Roosevelt Ave. East (Hwy 410)

  3. Hwy 410 becomes Hwy 123

  4. Turn left on Hwy 12.

  5. Travel past Rimrock Lake, looking for Mile Marker 169.

  6. Just after MM 169, turn right on Tieton Rd.

  7. Cross the Tieton River and turn left on the first paved road (Lost Lake Rd).

  8. Drive up Lost Lake Road 3/4 mile and turn right at the Ghormley entrance sign



Directions from Portland (3 to 3 1/2 hours)
  • Option 1: Take I-5 north to Hwy 12 (exit #68).

    1. Travel EAST on Hwy. 12 for approximately 100 miles, traveling over White Pass.

    2. Travel past Rimrock Lake, looking for Mile Marker 169.

    3. Just after MM 169, turn right on Tieton Rd.

    4. Cross the Tieton River and turn left on the first paved road (Lost Lake Rd).

    5. Drive up Lost Lake Road 3/4 mile and turn right at the Ghormley entrance sign



  • Option 2:
    1. Travel east on I-84 through the Dalles

    2. Turn north on Hwy 97 at Biggs Junction

    3. Follow Hwy. 97 north until you reach I-82. Travel WEST on I-82 until you reach Yakima.

    4. For the remainder of the trip, follow directions from Yakima







Directions from Yakima (45 minutes)
  1. At the north end of Yakima take Hwy 12 West towards Naches and White Pass

  2. 5 miles past downtown Naches turn left to remain on Hwy 12

  3. 5 miles past Rimrock Retreat, look for a sign for Ghormley/Rimrock Lake (Mile Marker 168).

  4. Take a left at Tieton Rd.

  5. Cross the Tieton River and turn left on the first paved road (Lost Lake Rd).

  6. Drive up Lost Lake Road 3/4 mile and turn right at the Ghormley entrance sign
