If you have not filled out a registration form, fill one out as soon as possible. We cannot apply the scholarship to your camper’s account unless we have a registration for them. You may either fill out a hard copy of the registration form and mail, fax, or email it in; or you may create an account in our online registration system. If you applied for a scholarship with the paper version of our application but would like an online account, contact our office at 509-672-4311. We can create an online account for you.
To register your camper, we will need a deposit of at least $25. This will be applied to your camper’s balance. Without the deposit, we will not be able to reserve a spot for your camper in your chosen camp session. Note: if you register online, you will need to pay a deposit of at least $50 to complete the registration process. If you are unable to do this, call the office. We will be able to bypass the system to register your camper with a smaller deposit. Note: a deposit is not necessary to apply for a scholarship, but if you are approved for a scholarship, the deposit must be paid before the scholarship will be applied to your account.
Invite friends to camp. Your camper will receive a $40 discount for every camper they invite, as long as that camper comes to camp and has never been to camp at Ghormley before. Many people use this discount to help them reduce their balance.
Ask your church for a scholarship. A lot of churches also give scholarships to help kids get to camp.
Ask people in your camper’s life for help to send your child to camp. People love to help kids get to camp – they just need to know that there is a need.
Have your child be a part of the process, if they are old enough. Encourage them in fundraising ideas, as this gives them a sense of ownership in raising money for camp.
Consider a payment plan to pay your remaining balance.
