Junior Camp is a five-day, four-night camp session for students entering 4th through 6th grade in the fall. Campers can expect to have fun, play games, make friends, and learn about God during their time at Ghormley! They’ll spend their time doing activities such as meadow games, swimming in the pool, and riding the zipline. For more information about the activities offered for Junior Camp, see the list to the right.

We know that for some campers, spending four nights away from home can be a challenge! For more information on how we address homesickness, see: Information on Camper Homesickness
Students entering 4th grade have the option to attend either Junior Camp or Primary Camp. Primary Camp is a day shorter than Junior Camp, with a younger overall age group. Junior Camp offers all the same activities as Primary Camp, with the addition of paintball. Parents are encouraged to choose the session that best fits their 4th grader’s needs.
Students entering 6th grade have the option to attend either the Junior or Middle School sessions. Junior sessions are a day shorter than the Middle School sessions, have a younger age range, and do not involve any trips from the Ghormley campus. Middle School sessions are longer, have a broader age range, and include a Lake Day. Parents are encouraged to choose the session that best fits their 6th graders’ needs.
Theme information: 2019 camp sessions will have a Spy theme. In addition to the main theme, Junior campers will also have an Outer Space themed dinner. Campers are encouraged to bring clothing items, costumes, etc. related to the theme.
